Position Summary:
The Shipping/Receiving Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all Shipping and Receiving procedures are being followed accordingly. Perform root-cause analysis for inventory, receiving, and shipping discrepancies as directed. Coordinate with Leads and other employees to ensure that all business goals are met.
Job Duties
- Hold daily morning briefings to go over plans, goals, and needs for the shift with the Distribution Manager
- Follow up with Leads throughout shift to monitor workflow
- Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures Manually verify and receive PO’s into NetSuite while ensuring 100% accuracy
- Monitor all emails in order to provide quick resolutions for all internal and external customers
- Print out Picking Tickets of all orders and Transfers needing to be shipped and or prepped
- Process necessary paperwork; enter ship quantities into NetSuite
- Maintain 100% accuracy on every order picked and shipped from the DC
- Ensures timely processing of all non-Conforming items received into the building
- Conduct various inventory counts such as cycle counts and inventory location changes; enter changes into NetSuite
- Be knowledgeable of all computer system functions up to and including NetSuite and PaceJet
- Schedule freight, prepare, complete, and process all necessary paperwork for all aspects of shipping. I.E., all ground and LTL shipments
- Load and unload trucks as required
- Move, handle, and store material as necessary to meet scheduled ship dates and production timeframe
- Utilize daily opportunities to coach, train, and cross train employees
- Report defective or substandard material supplies or product
- Inspect levels of business supplies i.e., boxes, paper, labels, and plastic wrap to ensure all departments keep running effectively
- Provide recommendations to Distribution Manager for personnel related issues, i.e., hiring, disciplinary actions, employee relations
- Assure all equipment is utilized in accordance with company policy and procedure
- Perform duties to establish Mazzella Quality Assurance Standards
- All other duties assigned by the Distribution Manager
Education:
- A high school diploma or GED is required; college experience preferred.
- Ability to Operate a Reach Truck and Order Picker Preferred
- Must be able to lift or pull a minimum of 50 pounds
- Requires solid written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
- Conceptual and planning skills are required
- Overall PC literacy (Microsoft Office) are required
- Must be detail oriented, self-motivated, and disciplined with the ability to change work priorities frequently
- Must successfully complete a criminal background check, physical, drug screen and E-verify
