Job Summary
Position: Branch Manager
Location: NY
Mazzotta Rentals, Inc. (MRI) is seeking a Branch Manager to assist with various operational, administrative, and management duties. This role ensures the branch meets its financial goals, maintains operational efficiency, and a high level of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, and excel in a team environment. Superb communication skills and the ability to multi-task are necessary.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with drivers to confirm all deliveries are made on schedule.
- Maintain compliance with Department of Transportation and Foley.
- Ensure required drug and alcohol testing is performed and reported.
- Provide safety training, uphold OSHA compliance and audits.
- Ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Follow up on all interbranch communications to include pickups, transfers, deliveries, and maintenance. Collaborate with other branch managers to resolve issues.
- Review and confirm branch reservations, deliveries, pick-ups, one day rentals, and class substitution opportunities.
- Oversee all areas of service and maintenance. Run weekly reports to review open work orders, open purchase orders, truck and vehicle maintenance.
- Scan for fleet availability and ensure down hard is in the proper location and appropriately red tagged.
- Validate staged equipment meets Mazzotta standards. Check for trash, leaks, cuts, operators manual, and safety manual.
- Perform quality fleet checks for next day rental and confirm all contracts written are in the drivers bins along with the pickup tickets.
- Conduct touch base meetings with service managers, drivers, yard workers, service mechanics, and other direct reports.
- Partner with the sales team to follow up on leads, oversee sales efforts, and business initiatives.
- Determine upcoming equipment needs, review fleet listing and low utilization rental items, advise of deliveries for the following day, and determine targeted equipment to sell.
- Prepare and review reservations, cycle billing, pick up ticket, open contract, slow rent and re-rent reports, and contracts.
- Manage Branch financial performance, revenue, and profitability.
- Communicate your business strengths and opportunities to the COO, CAO, and CFO. Present solutions and ideas for improvement in operations and sales growth.
- Maintain relationships with key clients and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Resolve customer issues effectively.
Salary
75,000 to 125,000 annually commensurate with experience and industry knowledge. Competitive pay based on experience. Health, dental, vision, and life insurance options. Retirement savings 401K plan and company match. Paid time off and holidays.
Requirements
- Proficiency in ERP programs such as Point of Rental and Rental Man.
- Skilled in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent phone etiquette and good customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines under pressure and analyze data to make informed business decisions.
- Self-motivated, highly organized, strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of service or construction terminology, equipment maintenance, and equipment repairs is a plus.
- Superb Communication skills and the ability to multi-task.
- Effective leadership skills and the ability to organize and motivate your team.
- Reaching, bending, squatting, and lifting 50 pounds or more.
- Experience in a managerial role.
- High school diploma required.
- Preferred Education: Bachelors degree in related field.
- Preferred Experience: 1-5 years of management experience.
