Position: Union Service Technician
Location: Brewster
Mazzotta Rentals, Inc. (MRI) is seeking a Service Technician to perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on our fleet. The ideal candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, possess a high level of technical expertise, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service. The service technician will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure customer satisfaction and efficient operation of equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct inspections and diagnostics to identify potential issues.
- Repair faulty components and perform necessary adjustments.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices in the field.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Acceptable driving record.
- Self-motivated, highly organized, with impeccable attention to detail.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Efficient problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems and electrical systems.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reaching, bending, squatting, and lifting 50 pounds or more.
- High school diploma required.
- Preferred Education: Technical or vocational training. Certification in related fields.
- Preferred Experience: 1-5 years of industry mechanic experience.
Salary dictated by the collective bargaining agreement
Ranges from $39.11- $43.17 commensurate with experience.
