About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Family Law Attorney to join our growing practice in Edwardsville or O'Fallon, Illinois. Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in family law cases, including divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, paternity, and prenuptial agreements.
- Conduct thorough legal research and draft pleadings, motions, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Attend court hearings, mediations, and depositions, advocating effectively on behalf of clients.
- Provide strategic legal guidance and counsel to clients, ensuring their best interests are protected.
- Negotiate settlements and agreements to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients through clear communication and prompt responsiveness.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies and share best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active bar license in Illinois (or ability to obtain licensure).
- At least 5 years of experience in family law, preferably with expertise in high asset dissolution cases.
- Strong litigation, negotiation, and trial advocacy skills.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and work efficiently under deadlines.
