MB Insurance is looking for an insurance (CSR) customer service representative-account manager to join our team of talented producers. In this role, you will immediately be responsible for answering customer queries, and providing potential customers with detailed information about our products. You will be required to review a customer’s policy and direct calls to agents when a policy needs to be initiated or upgraded until licensed. You will also be responsible for data entry and review of customer and client information for accuracy and process efficiency. A training and education/study period of one to two months will lead to acquiring a Colorado Property and Casualty insurance producer’s license unless held currently in good status. Once licensed then you will be able to quote and present personal insurance to our customers and realize commission post training and study/agency onboarding of three months.

To ensure success in this role, you should have a friendly and professional demeanor, good communication skills, excellence in attention to detail with data entry for quoting and application platforms for both personal and commercial insurance clients. You must have the ability to stay calm under pressure. Ultimately, top-class insurance customer sales representatives and producers are friendly and efficient when handling policy information.

This position pays $3K (net) monthly with the ability to earn additional structured commissions and realize eligibility for benefits once the initial license, education/study and training period is completed. Having a Colorado Insurance Producers License will be essential for success in this position. It is not necessary to start but will need to be realized no later than two months employment. Current licensed agent experience preferred especially from the independent agency background. This is a sophisticated personal lines sales and service position for existing and new business that will also be responsible for account manager detail for assigned agency sales force in commercial insurance lines.

Insurance Customer Service Representative/Account Manager Responsibilities:

Dedicated service for existing personal lines (Home, Auto, Umbrella) clients.

Dedicated Account Manager responsibilities for Assigned Agency Sales Representative.

Learning and understanding company insurance products.

Answering calls and responding to customer complaints, policy changes, quoting, communication and client service.

Accessing customer accounts for applications, endorsements and all renewal policy schedules and submitting to carriers for quoting, endorsements.

Acquiring Insurance Producer Licenses and Certifications within 60 days (Property and Casualty/Life and Health)

Providing customers with detailed information about policies and products.

Recommending available products.

Forwarding customers to agents when a policy needs to be initiated or endorsed until licensed.

Knowledge of all carrier platforms for both Personal Lines Insurance, and Small Commercial Insurance

Expert in use and understanding of Agency Management System (EZLynx)

Must show exemplary skill in Data Entry for all Personal and Commercial policy applications and updates for all current policy holder endorsements and information.

Reporting back to assigned Sales Representative for support with all insurance policy sales and service.

Quote and Policy Review

Formulation of Welcome and Customer/Policy Review Letters for initial contact, policy renewals (60-90 days ahead of renewals) and application and endorsement completions for the same throughout client policy periods.

Invoicing, and follow up on all agency billing for new policies and endorsements.

Email, text and phone communication

Weekly attendance to agency huddle. Input and notes for review on current account work, upcoming schedules and metrics toward agency and sales force growth expected.

Insurance Customer Service Representative Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required. College preferred.

Must be able type 60 words a minute.

Previous experience working as a customer service representative preferred.

Previous experience working in Independent Insurance Agency preferred.

Knowledge of insurance products and policy schedules preferred.

Friendly and professional demeanor.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Basic computer skills and knowledge of database software.

Knowledge of telephone and call forwarding systems.

Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.

Ability to explain detailed policy concepts in a simple way.
