Myrtle Waves Waterpark is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Cabana Sever. This position will provide exceptional service while also ensuring guests have an enjoyable and memorable experience. Primary responsibilities will include sales and up sales of menu items, serving food and beverages in the Cabana areas, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting guests with any needs they may have during their visit.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for service, have strong sales and upselling skills with a persuasive, guest-first approach along with a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experience in a fun and dynamic environment.
Qualifications: Age requirement is 18 years old
Must be able to work varied shifts, including weekends and Holidays. Team members in this position are defined as having a contagious personality, organized, able to calculate American currency, are flexible, able to meet time deadlines, prioritize daily duties and have strength in trouble shooting situations without delay in a fast-paced environment.
Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, team members are regularly required to stand for extended periods of time, in the sun and heat and operate point of sale (POS systems). Able to reach, balance, bend, crawl, pull, push, and have excellent listening skills. Team members must also be able to lift and/or move up to at least 20 pounds and greet guests warmly as they arrive at their cabanas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to influence sales and up sales to increase department revenue.
- Take food and beverage orders promptly and accurately.
- Deliver food and drinks to cabanas in a timely manner.
- Ensure cabana areas are clean, stocked, and well-maintained.
- Check on guests regularly to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
- Process payments and handle cash accurately.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down cabana areas as needed.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar team members to ensure smooth service.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food handling guidelines.
- Participate in training sessions and team meetings to improve service quality.
- Remain knowledgeable about the menu, including daily specials and promotions.
