Myrtle Waves Waterpark and Broadway Grand Prix Go Kart Park are seeking enthusiastic Event Hosts to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing birthday parties and group events, ensuring that every guest has a fantastic and memorable time.
Qualifications: Age requirement is 16 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in hospitality, event planning, or customer service is advantageous.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- A positive attitude and a passion for creating enjoyable experiences.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Must be able to read, write, and speak proficient English. Must be able to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and Holidays. Myrtle Waves Waterpark and Broadway Grand Prix is looking for team members that can provide excellent customer service by safely assisting guests through our event experiences. Team members in this position are defined as having a contagious personality, organized, are flexible, able to meet time deadlines, prioritize daily duties and have strength in trouble shooting situations without delay in a fast-paced environment.
Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, team members are regularly required to stand for extended periods of time, walk, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools and/or operate point of sale (POS systems). Able to reach, balance, bend, crawl, pull, push, speak with proficiency in English and have excellent listening skills. Team members must also be able to lift and/or move up to at least 25 pounds.
Job position description: Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Event Planning & Setup: Coordinate all aspects of birthday parties and group events, including decorations, seating arrangements, and activity schedules.
Guest Interaction: Welcome guests upon arrival, provide event details, and engage participants to keep the party atmosphere lively and enjoyable.
Activity Management: Supervise events, games and attractions, ensuring guest safety while fostering a fun environment.
Customer Service: Address guest inquiries and needs promptly, ensuring a high level of satisfaction throughout the event.
Team Collaboration: Work with fellow team members to ensure seamless execution of events and maintain cleanliness and organization to party areas. Also, this position works closely with management and the food and beverage department to assist with orders, delivery of good and beverages as needed at each event. Adhere to DHEC and ServSafe requirements for food preparation and storage of food and supplies.
Cleanup Duties: Assist with the breakdown and clean-up of party areas post-event, ensuring that all equipment is stored properly.
