Job Description
MBA Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Facility Condition Assessment Inspector to manage the development of USPS facilities' deferred maintenance backlog of the Capital, Repair and Alterations projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a facility inspection schedule that aligns with USPS Facility Services Organization (FSO) objectives.
- Prepare for inspections by gathering necessary data and coordinating logistics.
- Conduct comprehensive building inspections following USPS-provided standards.
- Calculate Current Replacement Values (CRV) for facilities.
- Create Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) cost estimates to address identified deficiencies.
- Compile, validate, and update Facility Condition Index (FCI) data.
- Upload inspection reports and supporting documentation, including photographs, into the USPS Infrastructure Condition Assessment Module (ICAM).
- Perform QA/QC reviews of self-assessments conducted by Plant and Small Facility teams.
- Travel to USPS facilities within the assigned region to conduct on-site inspections.
- Maintain the credibility of the FSO deferred maintenance backlog and support the development of a five-year plan for Repair & Alteration (R&A) and Capital projects.
- Identify and document facility issues not addressed by routine maintenance, especially those posing life safety risks or causing significant deterioration.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a related role.
- Proficiency using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Ability to travel (approximately 75%) and work flexible hours.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
