Job Description:
This position requires an experienced Facilities Condition Assessment Specialist to manage the development of USPS facilities' deferred maintenance backlog of Capital, Repair and Alterations projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting detailed building inspections, estimating repair costs, and ensuring the accuracy of facility condition data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a facility inspection schedule that aligns with USPS Facility Services Organization (FSO) objectives.
- Conduct comprehensive building inspections following USPS-provided standards.
- Calculate Current Replacement Values (CRV) for facilities.
- Create Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) cost estimates to address identified deficiencies.
- Compile, validate, and update Facility Condition Index (FCI) data.
- Upload inspection reports and supporting documentation, including photographs, into the USPS Infrastructure Condition Assessment Module (ICAM).
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a related role
- Proficiency using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Ability to travel (approximately 75%) and work flexible hours
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug test
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
