We are currently seeking a Software Tester who will support the Delivery Technology Programs group within the Engineering HQ for the US Postal Service.
Job Duties:
- Collaborate with cross-departmental stakeholders to gather business requirements and align IT solutions with business needs.
- Facilitate change management and training during new process or system implementations.
- Perform SIT and UAT testing, communicating results and ensuring deliverables meet functional and business requirements.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and PMO/business customers, managing expectations and project timelines.
- Utilize SQL for data analysis to support decision-making.
- Document functional requirements using techniques like user stories and process flow diagrams in Visio.
- Translate business needs into actionable requirements and manage change requests (CRs).
- Oversee backlog management, sprint planning, and task delegation.
- Provide Level 2 support using ServiceNow and maintain version control for technical documents, including API guides and ICDs.
- Organize and maintain documentation in SharePoint.
Job Requirements:
- Proficient in analyzing and documenting functional/system requirements.
- Experience developing system test strategies, test plans, and test cases.
- Skilled in system testing, debugging, and reproducing reported issues.
- Knowledgeable in generating and maintaining SDLC artifacts and ensuring quality standards.
- Proficient in requirements traceability documentation and defect tracking/resolution.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to gather stakeholder input.
- Experience in technical writing, including research and documentation.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in a related field) with 3 years of relevant experience.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to obtain USPS Sensitive clearance.
- Familiarity with Section 508-compliant UI design (preferred).
- Experience with bug tracking systems.
- Strong writing, communication, and analytical skills.
