Summer Camp Leader

Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Leader to join our team. The Camp Leader will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children during camp activities. This role involves planning and implementing fun and interactive programs that promote learning and personal growth. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, strong leadership skills, and the ability to foster a positive camp experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily camp activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
• Develop and implement engaging programs that focus on education, creativity, and teamwork.
• Manage classroom dynamics effectively to maintain a positive atmosphere.
• Educate campers on various subjects through hands-on activities, including arts, sports, and outdoor exploration.
• Provide guidance and support to campers, addressing their needs and concerns as they arise.
• Maintain communication with parents regarding camper progress and any relevant updates.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including administering first aid when necessary.
• Collaborate with fellow staff members to enhance the overall camp experience.

Skills

• Experience working with children in settings such as daycare, tutoring, or camps is essential.
• Strong classroom management skills to effectively lead groups of children.
• Background in early childhood education or related fields is preferred.
• Ability to educate children through creative methods such as theater or arts & crafts.
• First aid certification is a plus; willingness to obtain certification required.
• Excellent communication skills to interact positively with children, parents, and staff members.
• A nurturing attitude combined with the ability to set clear expectations for behavior.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
