What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Simulation Education and Technology position at mbcc-mass?

The ideal candidate will join a vibrant and inclusive educational community and have a desire and ability to work with a diverse population. The Director of Simulation Education and Technology (The Director) is responsible for the organization, performance, promotion, and support of effective skills and simulation lab(s) experiences for all students, faculty, and the health science community, along with initiatives supporting workforce development. The Director will supervise day and evening MCCC and AFSCME employees within the area of Simulation and contribute to the Strategic Planning initiatives of the College. The Director will oversee and provide education and technical support for the day-to-day operations, as well as debriefing, and troubleshooting simulation equipment, computers, audio-visual components, web-based programs, and any other necessary components/equipment of the Simulation Center. The Director will work collaboratively with other members of the Division of Health Sciences and other departments within the College. The Director will oversee and contribute to the improvement and development of all programs requiring skills and simulation education. This position will actively promote MBCC’s commitment to the use of educational technology, simulation, and debriefing to provide an optimal learning experience to the students of Health Sciences and other Divisions within the College. The Director will develop fee-based programs that provide training and upskilling opportunities for the professional community to use our simulation facilities.
