Position Summary: Performs all post-closing tasks to ensure file/transaction is closed and funds are disbursed. Ensures completeness and accuracy of documents. Provides support to internal and external customers.

Essential Functions: The qualified candidate must be able to perform the essential functions of the position either with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Review the quality, accuracy, and completeness of executed transaction documents. Review documentation for compliance with and adherence to company guidelines.
  • Prepare files for post-closing to include (but not limited to) recording, disbursement, lender package returns and policy production. Obtain missing information/correct inaccuracies as appropriate.
  • Account for funds received and disbursed on the closing statement. Work in partnership with management to review and resolve monthly escrow related matters to include (but not limited to) held checks and escrows.
  • Record appropriate transaction documents with the appropriate jurisdictions.
  • Prepare and cut checks and initiate wires. Request a check for any funds in escrow that go to seller or buyer. Obtain approval from manager for disbursement.
  • Work with the processor to resolve outstanding title matters discovered in the title search or communicated via another title company.
  • Assemble closing pack for lender and verify all provisions of the lender’s instructions are completed.
  • Prepare policy production packages and deliver to the policy production department when complete.
  • Communicate clearly with customers and other title companies. Serve as point of contact for internal staff, lenders, agents, and individual clients.
  • Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with new and existing clients.
  • Work with internal and external partners to address any issues that need to be resolved.
  • Provide support to the Corporate Finance Department to ensure proper monthly escrow functions and successful annual audits.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Two (2) years of real estate title post-closing experience or combination of title post-closing and processing experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with Qualia required.
  • Notary public or ability to obtain.
  • Title Producer license preferred.
  • Valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record, satisfactory credit report and criminal background check.
  • Bilingual preferred but not required.
