Medicine for Business and Industry (MBI) operates outpatient clinics specializing in acute injury care within an Occupational Medicine setting. Our services focus on treating occupational injuries. No chronic pain management! Our fully integrated EMR system enables providers to deliver high-quality patient care with minimal administrative responsibilities.
MBI currently has 31 locations in Arizona, Colorado, California, and Nevada. Significant career growth opportunities are available for qualified candidates. Summary : Under the supervision of a licensed physician, Advance Practice Providers provide healthcare services to patients both in the clinic and via telemedicine, adhering to established clinical practice principles. Act as a medical consultant / advisor regarding the medical status of the clients presenting for physical examinations for staff.
Work Schedule : Onsite Saturdays at Goodyear from 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM, with on-call responsibilities beginning Saturday at 5 : 00 PM until Monday at 7 : 00 AM.
- The role involves being on home call to manage telemedicine services and promptly responding to in-center patient care needs as required.
Responsibilities :
Review Past Medical History, family history social history and review of symptoms, perform physical examinations of the eyes, ears, head, neck, chest, heart, abdomen, back, extremities, male genitals (for hernias), neurologic systems, general condition, height, weight vital signs, vision, hearing, and / or electrocardiograms for the purpose of determining capacity to safely perform specified job functions.Review and interpret radiographs of the chest, back, and / or extremities to determine the presence of a pre-existing condition prior to beginning work.Evaluate and manage the following conditions :Common occupational musculoskeletal injuries of the neck, back, and upper and lower extremities
Work-related injuries to the head with or without loss of consciousness, assuming the individual is currently conscious and alertWork-related injuries to the chest or abdomen, with the possibility of herniasWork-related lacerations of the face and extremities which do not impair function or sensationWork-related foreign bodies to the eye, and other non-penetrating eye injuries or conditions of the eye that do not affect visionWork-related rashes and other occupational skin conditionsOccupational asthma and other work-related respiratory symptomsEvaluation and management to include :
Review of the chief complaint, mechanism or description of injury, associated symptoms, effect on activities of daily living (including work) past medical, social, family history (including functions of usual job), and appropriate physical examinationAppropriately diagnosing the problemRecommendation of appropriate over-the-counter medications, application of heat or cold, referral for home exercise trainingPrescription of appropriate medications and therapyOrdering and interpretation of appropriate radiographsRecommendation and application of ace bandages, braces, splints and casts as appropriateTreatment of non-displaced uncomplicated fracturesReferral for specialized testing such as MRI, EMG as necessary and appropriateReferral for specialty care as appropriateIdentification of appropriate limitations to activity at home and workRendering an opinion regarding causality and work relatedness.Requirements :
Master's degree and valid, unrestricted state licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.FMCSA certification for DOT exams, or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.Current BLS certification.Experience utilizing telemedicineAbility to obtain Arizona medical licenseAbility to exercise high levels of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision-making to meet organizational goals in a dynamic business environment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with clear and effective verbal and written communication.Proficient computer skillsStrong organizational skills and customer service orientation; ability to build relationships with staff, patients, and clients.Must maintain confidentiality.Bilingual is Spanish is a plus.Provider must respond in person to Goodyear or Kyrene Clinic within 30 minutes of receiving an on-call notification.Equal Opportunity Employer
