Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with rotating weekends
Summary: X-Ray Technician provides expertise in X-Ray techniques, policies and procedures. and works hard to support entire clinic team with both X-Ray and Medical Assistant duties.
Responsibilities:
- Perform timely and quality radiology procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by the attending physician.
- Perform quality control checks/audits on radiologic equipment.
- Perform drug screens, urinalysis and other in-house lab tests including processing specimens for reference laboratories.
- Maintain records and logs on activities including in-house lab work, drug screens, and x-rays sent out to other labs.
- Works closely with the Center Administrator, Medical Staff, Front Office Specialist and all clinic staff to maintain smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.
- Ensure occupational client’s preferences followed and occupational procedures are adhered to.
- Cross trained for front desk duties to include greeting patients, checking patients in/out on computer, and of day close out procedures, patient interactions, lobby checks and records release.
- May be required to work alternate shifts and may be required to float to other clinic locations.
- Works with all clinic staff to ensure efforts are coordinated and that patients receive high quality care and services.
- Assist with general patient care when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Current state X-Ray License in active status.
- Certificate or diploma from an accredited Radiologic Technologist or Practical Technologist program. ARRT certification if applicable.
- Current First Aid/ CPR certification from recognized program (American Red Cross, etc.) required or completed within first 60 days of employment.
- Certification for Federal and Non-Federal Drug Testing and Breath Alcohol Testing required or completed within first 60 days of employment.
- Must be able to communicate through written instructions and complete routine written logs and reports.
- Must be able to comprehend and follow verbal instructions, as well as respond to audible stimuli.
