Position Summary:
To achieve EHS compliance and perform daily functions according to training and SOP’s
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
- Adhere to all company policies.
- Dump waste and garbage hoppers into compactor and dumpsters.
- Manage the Hazardous Waste, Chemical Storage, Trash & Compactor areas.
- Distribute and track usage of Acrastrip 800 Tool Cleaner & ProSolve Fast Cleaner to Lamination.
- Distribute secondary chemical labels as needed to all departments.
- Conduct inspections of Forklifts, Eyewash Stations, Fire Extinguishers, Spill Kits, Hazmat area, etc.
- Complete all necessary paperwork
- Manage all production equipment chemical distribution: MEKP, drummed chemical, etc.
- Puncture & dispose of aerosol cans per regulations and training.
- Participate in Forklift Training, Safety Training, and MEKP Training.
- Participate in Hazardous Waste, RCRA, and DOT Training as required by law.
- Manage safe curing and catalyzation of lamination chemicals.
- Assist with resin deliveries as needed.
- Follow SOP’s for waste handling and disposal.
- Schedule and prepare empty drums for recycling every 1-3 days.
- Maintain storm drains.
- Maintain proper housekeeping of work area, storage cabinets, supplies, and equipment.
- Complete tasks & projects in allotted time.
- Performs all waste minimization practices.
- Maintain hazmat logs.
- Ensure all hot material, garbage, and recyclable material is removed from the plant prior to the end of the shift daily.
- All other duties as required.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Able to follow instructions.
- Safety & Quality minded during all tasks.
- Dexterous.
- Forklift certification is required.
- Hazmat training preferred but not required.
Physical Demands:
- Standing/walking for long period of times.
- Bending, kneeling (squatting), lifting, twisting continuously throughout the day.
- The ability to lift to 50lbs.
