Essential Functions
">The Caregiver performs various essential functions, including:
- Providing assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Transporting residents to meals, activities, and other appointments as needed.
- Reading and following care plans to ensure proper care is being given to residents.
- Encouraging residents to participate in daily activities, such as bed making, laundry, and cleaning.
- Leading and assisting residents in meaningful and life-enriching activities.
- Managing oxygen tanks and concentrators per MD orders for resident needs.
- Charting and documenting appropriate information, communicating any observed or suspected resident change of condition to a supervisor immediately.
- Responding promptly to all resident alerts, carrying walkie-talkies and reacting to emergency or other resident requests as needed.
- Ensuring resident safety and comfort at all times, assisting in the performance of fire or other safety drills.
