We are seeking a motivated and skilled Project Engineer to join our growing team.
Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer to contribute to a wide range of land development and permitting projects. This role will involve collaborating with our engineering team, clients, and contractors to manage all aspects of project execution, from initial planning through to final construction. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day engineering and permitting activities for land development projects.
- Assist in the preparation of site plans, grading plans, drainage designs, and other engineering documentation.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Perform detailed engineering analyses, including hydrology, stormwater management, and utilities design.
- Conduct site visits to evaluate construction progress, identify issues, and ensure adherence to engineering standards.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and staff.
- Review and approve contractor submittals and change orders.
- Ensure timely submission of permit applications and other regulatory documentation.
- Maintain project schedules and budgets, identifying and addressing potential delays or cost overruns.
- Prepare progress reports and communicate project status to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in land development or construction engineering.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering design, construction, and permitting processes.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other design software.
- Familiarity with local regulations and permitting processes in Massachusetts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- MA Driver’s license required.
- Ability to work in the office and visit project sites as necessary.
- Background check is mandatory.
