Duration: Contract (through 12/31/2025)
Description: Our client is looking for a talented Technical Program Manager to lead the establishment of a Program Management Office (PMO). This exciting opportunity involves providing expert project and program management guidance to the engineering function, specifically driving the programs and workstreams necessary to advance their test engineering transformation and positively influence their technology environment.
Responsibilities:
- Independently lead highly complex programs/project/support assignments and/or participates in cross-departmental projects with responsibility for managing scope, risk, business value, and schedule.
- Secure required resources and use formal processes and tools to manage resources, risks, and changes. Partner with other program managers supporting this space as well as the technology leadership team and key business stakeholders.
- Analyze and identify possible solutions and assess each using standard procedures, developing a recommended approach.
- Conduct independent analysis to identify the scope and nature of a business and/or system problem. Responsible for accomplishing the stated project objectives through key project management responsibilities that include building the project requirements and managing/balancing resource constraints and relationships.
- Responsible for developing, maintaining and revising project deliverables. Responsible for gathering and delivering metrics as required by the project.
- Understand the key business drivers as they relate to the programs/projects. Adapt to the internal procedures and build relationships with business partner representatives, ensuring that we deliver on our goals and can clearly articulate our progress, challenges, and milestones.
- Gather and deliver day-to-day progress as it relates to managing scope, schedule, cost and quality to support project management decisions and compliance with company approved methodology and required deliverables.
- Experience with vendor management and working with offshore vendors is crucial to set clear expectations and ensure vendor partnerships.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience leading complex technical programs with responsibility for scope, schedule, risk, and value delivery.
- Familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC); no coding required, but must be comfortable in technical discussions.
- Experience managing offshore or third-party vendors and setting clear expectations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, tasks, and workstreams without missing details.
- Skilled in partnering across teams, stakeholders, and vendor groups.
- Ability to follow up, drive accountability, and keep projects moving forward.
- Strong problem-solving skills to seek out issues and implement practical, data-informed solutions.
- Familiarity with PM tools and reporting on key metrics.
