Overview
We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete finishing and related construction skills. This role involves working on various projects, including commercial and residential settings, where precision and attention to detail are paramount. As a Concrete Finisher, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that concrete surfaces are smooth, level, and aesthetically pleasing.
Duties
- Finish concrete surfaces by using hand tools and power tools to achieve desired textures and finishes.
- Restore and renovate existing concrete structures as needed.
- Perform heavy lifting and manual labor associated with concrete pouring and finishing tasks.
- Execute masonry work including laying bricks, blocks, or stones as part of the finishing process.
- Apply caulking to joints and seams for a polished final appearance.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and metal stud framers, to ensure project specifications are met.
- Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment at all times.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Concrete Finisher or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Familiarity with trim carpentry techniques is preferred.
- Experience with commercial driving may be beneficial for transporting materials to job sites.
- Ability to build forms for pouring concrete and understand the curing process is essential.
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing.
- Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations related to concrete work.
