Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Building Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overall functionality of our facilities. This role requires a strong understanding of building systems and the ability to operate various tools and equipment effectively. The Building Engineer will ensure that all aspects of the building are in compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural components.
- Operate heavy equipment and power tools safely and efficiently for various tasks.
- Conduct remodeling projects as needed, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
- Apply caulking and other sealing methods to improve energy efficiency and aesthetics.
- Build, plumb, weld, and fabricate structures or components as required by project specifications.
- Utilize hand tools for repairs and installations throughout the facility.
- Implement hardscape projects to enhance outdoor spaces around the building.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in building maintenance or engineering roles is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment and power tools is essential.
- Strong skills in remodeling, caulking, building, plumbing, welding, fabricating, and using hand tools.
- Familiarity with hardscape techniques is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and management.
- Must be able to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with maintenance work.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
