What are the responsibilities and job description for the Primary Therapist 1 (RBT Required) position at MBS - Milestones Behavioral Services?
The Essential Functions of this position are:

- Assist in the development of individual assessment and treatment plans. Provide timely updates to supervisor.
- Case Management – conduct sessions, time management, data collection, and protocol development, implementation, and review. Oversee behavior team consisting of Behavior Specialists I-III.
- Training – provide training to Advanced Intervention staff as needed; ensure protocols are carried out correctly. Provide diplomatic (appropriate) and corrective feedback.
- Data Management – Maintain up-to-date graphs. Organize and present data in ways to facilitate interpretation. Develop or adapt data collection system for parents, teachers and/or staff.
- Documentation – Timely and thorough completion of session descriptions and session summaries.
- Problem solving –Anticipate problems and develop alternative strategies for solving problems. Generate solutions independently and in conjunction with program Director.
- Presentation – Present clinical or research information to internal and/or external audiences.
- Maintain effective communication and composure in a highly complex environment.
- Follow verbal instructions in the moment regardless of environmental conditions.
- Track occurrence of various behaviors (e.g., visual and/or auditory).
- Accurately inspect and interpret visual representations of data.
- Enter real-time data using a standard computer keyboard.
- Other duties as assigned.
The minimum qualifications and requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- RBT credential required.
- Experience working with the assessment and treatment severe problem behaviors with developmentally disabled population is required.
- Previous and/or current training in applied behavior analysis for behavioral intervention in a clinical setting is required.
- In coursework and supervision towards BCaBA or BCBA certification preferred.
- Maintain professionalism with students and staff.
- Must be able accept and act on constructive feedback.
- Ability to demonstrate professional behavior by adhering to departmental and organizational policies and procedures, and assuming authority appropriately.
- A basic knowledge of computer systems and applicable software and proficiency with e-mail communication.
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills (oral and written).
- Required to follow all safety procedures and requirements.
- When implementing emergency procedures ('PMT’), must perform maneuvers and actions associated with managing students independently or as part of an orchestrated team effort.
- Must be able to physically care for younger children up to 6 years old with or without assistance of one or additional designated persons.
- The job duties require an employee to routinely and safely demonstrate heavy to very heavy physical demands associated with ‘hand on’ efforts when physically managing students, under routine, emergency, and/or aggressive behavior management scenarios.
- This position requires in-person, on-site attendance.
