MBS is hiring a Business Analyst in Columbus, OH. This position is a full-time, Direct Hire opportunity.
FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide program technical assistance to state and contracted information technology professionals during one, multiple, or all phases of assigned project(s).
- Gather information from various sources (business, technical teams, and legacy artifacts) during the project's inception (i.e., development of the scope and outline of the general requirements) and help ensure the documented Requirements are met during design, development, and testing activities.
- Need excellent analytical, facilitation, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ask, investigate and call out opportunities and issues to improve quality and allow development teams to produce applications users want to use instead of having to use.
- Should help the organization see the big picture and envision possible solutions.
- Assist with developing business analyst process standards, including establishing criteria for a Definition of Ready (DoR).
- Activities will include developing and refining user
- Work closely with the development team. In the process, they need to address questions discovered during the development phase and validate that the code developed matches the requirements and acceptance criteria defined in user stories.
- Assist with creating and coordinating test plans for business users and assist with test case creation based on their perspective and understanding of business processes.
- Help facilitate engagements between the product owner / business stakeholders and development team members at any time during the project life cycle.
- Work closely with the OIC release management resources to support the code / data movement to production.
