MBS is hiring a Materials Project Specialist in Mason, OH. This is a temp to hire opportunity, full-time position.
FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Production Planning
- Evaluate and respond to SAP-generated MRP messages for assigned commodities / suppliers
- Communicate quantity or delivery discrepancies or other areas of concern to appropriate departments, individuals, and suppliers.
- Input, maintain, audit, and adjust MRP records or transactions to ensure data validity.
- Purchase Order Placement
- Prepare purchase orders and subsequent amendments in response to MRP messages, manual requisitions, or Sales Order requirements).
- Make substitution recommendations where savings in cost or better delivery can be realized.
- Assist in developing procurement sources for all assigned materials.
- Contract Administration
- Track, follow up, and expedite open orders to ensure material / services are delivered on time.
- Coordinate the return and replacement of defective material
- Resolve invoicing issues to ensure the supplier is paid promptly
- Production Control
- Create and maintain Production Orders as required for the collection of labor and material
- Coordinate the movement of materials and the supply of labor in support of production orders
- Compile and maintain records of assigned production orders for material availability, production order WIP status, schedule changes, and delivery of production order to the internal customer.
- Inventory Management
- Track and monitor material usage patterns to adjust for optimal order quantities
- Order material in accordance with maintaining inventory investment at levels that achieve service level and inventory turnover objectives.
