Job Description:
We are seeking a HR Generalist with experience in the manufacturing industry to join our HR team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR functions such as recruitment, employee engagement, conflict resolution, and HR administration, specifically within a manufacturing setting. You should be skilled in data management, particularly using Excel (including VLOOKUP), and have strong communication abilities, including Spanish language proficiency. Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Lead and manage the full recruitment cycle for manufacturing roles, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, coordinating job offers, and ensuring effective onboarding for new hires.
- Employee Engagement & Retention: Develop and implement initiatives to improve employee engagement, morale, and retention within the manufacturing workforce. Focus on maintaining a positive work culture in a high-volume production environment.
- Conflict Resolution: Handle and resolve employee relations issues, mediate conflicts, and manage workplace investigations to maintain a healthy, productive environment.
- HR Policies & Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant labor laws and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with company policies, industry standards, and governmental regulations (e.g., OSHA, labor laws).
- Workforce Planning & Development: Work with management to identify workforce needs, develop training programs, and promote career development opportunities for employees in manufacturing roles.
- Data Management & Reporting: Utilize Excel (including VLOOKUP) and HR systems to track key HR metrics, generate reports, and support workforce planning decisions.
- Employee Relations: Be the primary HR contact for employee concerns, offering guidance on workplace issues, career development, performance management, and conflict resolution.
- Spanish-Speaking Support: Provide HR support and communicate effectively in Spanish to ensure clear understanding and addressing the needs of Spanish-speaking employees in the manufacturing environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner, with specific experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices, particularly in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP) and experience with HR management software.
- Spanish-speaking skills are essential for effective communication with Spanish-speaking employees.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage sensitive situations professionally.
- Strong experience in employee relations, conflict resolution, and workforce planning in a manufacturing context.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- HR certifications such as SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar certifications are highly preferred.
- Prior experience working with unionized environments is a plus.
- Experience in a large-scale manufacturing environment or operations is an advantage.
Salary : $70,000 - $85,000
