1st shift : 8am-5pm

Summary Description :
This position is responsible for supporting the Production Control team by facilitating the review of material availability to help minimize shortages and past due orders in support of the production plan. The role will also support the administration of EDI and assist with the routine order and delivery of parts and components to support production and parts service and provides a communication and logistics link between planning, inventory, receiving, engineering, and purchasing. Essential Functions :
- Responsible for the timely and accurate entry of new orders and change orders from the customer
- Responsible for the electronic scanning and filing of the customer orders entered
- Preparation of real time, online schedules for the shop floor
- Continual maintenance / cleanup of the schedules to assure they are maintained as accurately as possible
- Respond to customer calls / emails and fulfill customer requests for information
- Set up new jobs in the computer
- Responsible for entering tool orders for tooling work to be done and charged to the customer
- Manage the return of obsolete tooling and the associated paperwork and database changes, scanning and electronically filing
- Enter price changes as generated by quoting
- Manage the outsourcing of parts or cores when outsourcing is necessary
- Assist shipping, when necessary, in the scheduling / expediting of pickups
- Record late shipment reasons
- Active participant in the sample and hold meeting and machining meeting weekly
- Generate ECR's as necessary and remove the ECR held status when resolution is received from engineering
- Provide assistance and backup to the Service Rep
- Set up jobs moving to machine shop in product master
- Perform any and all other job related tasks as assigned
Skills or Experience Required :
Excellent phone and interpersonal skills. Must have computer experience - specifically data entry, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
