Job summary
Provide Support to Supervisor
Assist other Inventory Coordinators with meeting department productivity and goals
- Analyze buying and ensure quality of buying decisions
- Assist Team with problem resolutions concerning inventory
- Monitor risky custom inventory
- Evaluate processes and recommend, coordinate needed changes basedon process analysis
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
Determine Stocking Levels on Course Materials
- Determine correct quantities of course materials to stock for given courses
- Utilize prior provider/site/course/book sales history to evaluatecorrect purchasing decisions
- Evaluate information regarding publisher policies and practices
- Reduce cost and increase margin by anticipating sales of course materials
- Analyze information from various sources to derive the correct stocking level for course material
- Review and assess stocking decisions to prevent back-orders and over-stock situations
- Review, evaluate, and act upon reports in accordance with Departmental Reporting Schedule
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Book Resource
- Serve as an expert in course materials regarding new editions, packages, and substitute titles
- Serve as intermediary between Acquisitions and Client Representative to ensure inventory availability
- Address substitution notices, evaluate and adjust adoptions as needed
- Ability to provide alternate course material selections for packages or titles with other vendors
- Monitor order process and inventory levels for key accounts as assigned
Evaluation of Performance
- Understand and work to improve individual performance as defined departmental buyer metrics
- Review reports to evaluate performance of provider, site, course,or book
- Assist in evaluating historical information provided by new or existing clients
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in business, accounting, or relevant work experience
- Demonstrate problem-solving ability (both as an individual contributor and team member)
- Ability to prioritize own activities and work on multiple assignments simultaneously
- Possess a high level of attention to detail
- Excellent attendance and punctuality record
- Competency with word processing and spreadsheet applications, as well as general computer knowledge.
