We are seeking a Part-Time Art Director to translate our technology and unique value proposition (UVP) into visually compelling marketing assets that resonate with our audience.
Role Overview
The Part-Time Art Director will play a critical role in shaping MBT’s visual storytelling across multiple digital channels. This person will create or direct the development of engaging advertising graphics that effectively communicate the benefits of MBT shoes in a relatable and impactful way.
This role is ideal for a creative professional who can both execute design work hands-on (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) and collaborate with freelance designers (via Fiverr or similar platforms) to ensure high-quality, brand-consistent visuals. Additionally, the ideal candidate should be data-driven, capable of analyzing ad performance metrics and refining creative strategies accordingly.
Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and design advertising graphics that clearly convey MBT’s unique benefits to consumers.
- Blend product imagery with relatable lifestyle scenes using a mix of MBT global photoshoots and stock photography (e.g., Shutterstock).
- Execute hands-on design work in Photoshop or direct freelance designers when outsourcing projects.
- Ensure brand consistency across all creative assets, aligning with MBT’s visual guidelines.
- Analyze ad performance data (CTR, conversion rates, engagement, etc.) and evolve creative messaging based on insights.
- Optimize graphics for various digital platforms, including: Email campaigns, Homepage and landing page elements & banners, Social media (Facebook, Instagram), Google Display and Taboola advertising
- Collaborate with the marketing team to refine creative approaches based on performance insights.
Qualifications & Skills
- 3 years of experience in graphic design, visual storytelling, or art direction.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Experience with directing or managing freelance designers to scale creative production.
- Strong understanding of digital advertising formats (social media, email, display ads).
- Ability to translate technical product benefits into consumer-friendly visuals.
- Basic data analysis skills to interpret ad performance and adjust creative accordingly.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in footwear, fashion, or health & wellness industries.
- Familiarity with performance marketing and ad creatives that drive conversion.
- Basic knowledge of Google Ads, Meta Ads, and Taboola creative best practices.
- Experience with A/B testing visuals and refining messaging based on performance insights.
