What are the responsibilities and job description for the Video Analyst (Fare Revenue) Job at MBTA in Boston position at MBTA?
The MBTA Video Analyst will be responsible for supporting all functions of the MBTA Fare Revenue Teams as noted below in Duties and Responsibilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Respond to video requests from the various MBTA Fare Revenue Teams including but not limited to Fraud, O&M, Fare Engagement.
Recover and analyze video using video management software working with the MassDot / MBTA Security team to upload / store it to internal shared folders.
Maintain detailed reports of all work completed.
Work with the various Fare Revenue Teams to monitor and support the installation, maintenance, and functionality of MBTA Fare Revenue devices.
Monitor the video surveillance infrastructure assigned to the MBTA Fare Revenue devices and report any devices in need of service or updates.
Perform various administrative functions as needed.
Complete detailed reports in designated report management system or in Service Now for case documentation.
Respond to each inquiry, whether from a customer, vendor, or co-worker in a courteous and professional manner.
Ensure that all required documentation and reports are completed accurately and forwarded appropriately.
Perform all other duties and projects that may be assigned.
Supervise MBTA Fare Revenue Team contractors / interns.
Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Two (2) years of experience in compiling, analyzing, and reporting information into databases and / or working with video management systems.
Effective organizational, analytical, multi-tasking, time management, and interpersonal skills.
The ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Database applications.
The ability to effectively communicate with regulatory agencies, community organizations, and others on technical and sensitive matters.
Ability to provide internal and external customers with a courteous and professional experience.
Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team (or supervise, if required).
Ability to uphold the rights and interests of the MBTA while building and maintaining effective relationships with employees and co-workers.
The ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce.
Substitutions for Minimum Qualifications
A High School Diploma or GED with an additional seven (7) years of directly related experience substitutes for the bachelor’s degree requirement.
An associate degree from an accredited institution with an additional three (3) years of directly related experience substitutes for the bachelor’s degree requirement.
A master’s degree in a related subject substitutes for two (2) years of general experience.
A nationally recognized certification, or statewide / professional certification in a related field substitutes for one year of experience.
Preferred Experience and Skills
Experience working in transportation, safety, security, or related field.
Experience using Video Management System (VMS) software.
