Location : West Sacramento, California
Salary : $80,000-$105,000 / DOE
Medical benefits-eligible first of the month following 28 days of employment. All other benefits-eligible first of the month following 90 days of employment.
Position Overview : Work in Production Planning Department coordinating all aspects of production planning and procurement. Assist Planners with creating efficient schedules by working with internal and external customers as well as monitoring production on multiple lines. Oversee the ordering of all ingredients & materials for the production lines. Communicate with internal and external customers and suppliers and maintain planning systems. Assist Production Planning Director as needed.
Language Skills : English proficiency required. Spanish is a plus.
Supervisory Responsibilities : Yes.
Amount of Travel Involved : 25%.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Responsible for production scheduling support and guidance for both Anaheim and West Sacramento facilities.
- Work closely with Production Operations to ensure production schedules are clearly communicated and as efficient as possible.
- Analyze / forecast production and create spreadsheets for use companywide.
- Oversee and monitor schedules for all production lines ensuring customer satisfaction and efficient schedule writing.
- Communicate with customers on all aspects of their production schedule and resolve any issues.
- Monitor purchasing of all ingredients and materials to ensure timely receipt in full, within specification, and per customers’ requirements.
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure proper documentation and delivery requirements are received.
- Monitor on hand inventory to remove any aged stock and confirm levels are kept at a minimum level.
- Work with the warehouse team on all aspects of ingredient & material inventory including current levels, storage space used, and delivery schedules adhering to all guidelines
- Work with Engineering and Maintenance on scheduled and unscheduled work to be done on the production lines and understand its impact on production scheduling.
- Work closely with the Commercial Team on validation and implementation of new customers.
- Assist in setting up and maintenance of all Work Orders as needed
- Provide various reporting to Management as requested
- Run daily production meetings
- Identify and implement ways to improve efficiency of the production schedule and daily tasks.
- Complete UKG for all direct reports.
