We are seeking a Physical Security System Administrator 4 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business Unit. As part of (SES) Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, it systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high-growth markets.
As a System Administrator for our Physical Security Systems, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and testing critical systems such as Physical Access Control, CCTV, PSIM (Physical Security Information Management), and other Integrated Electronic Security Systems. Your role is pivotal to ensuring the continued functionality, performance, and security of these systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of reliability, efficiency, and compliance.
In this position, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain and develop integrations between multiple physical security systems, streamlining their operation and ensuring they work cohesively across the enterprise. You will also be responsible for optimizing system performance, applying patches and updates, and continuously monitoring system logs to proactively identify and address any issues, minimizing system downtime.
Additionally, you will play a key role in supporting the accreditation of these systems, ensuring they meet the necessary standards and regulatory requirements for security and operational approval. This will involve maintaining thorough documentation, performing regular audits, and addressing any compliance-related issues to ensure all systems align with required accreditation guidelines.
Responsibilities
You will be tasked with the creation and management of autonomous workflows, scripts, and system enhancements that improve operational efficiency and performance across our physical security infrastructure. You will also be involved in research and development (R&D) for new technologies, updates, and improvements to our enterprise software and applications, ensuring our systems remain at the cutting edge of the industry. This includes evaluating emerging technologies, performing testing, and implementing updates and patches to maintain system integrity and security.
In addition, you will manage the creation, maintenance, and optimization of servers, workstations, and databases as applicable, ensuring that all systems run smoothly and securely. Your role will involve collaborating with various departments and stakeholders to address technical issues, troubleshoot problems, and develop solutions that support the overall mission of the organization.
- Manage physical security system support to meet service level agreements
- Analyze physical security system performance and recommend improvements
- Resolve complex system issues for physical security systems
- Triage customer support calls, providing Tier 3 escalation as needed
- Communicate with customers, manufacturers, vendors, and technical specialists
- Train system users and other system support personnel as needed
- Analyze and modify preventive maintenance checklists for system changes
- Troubleshoot system performance issues and implement corrective actions
- Perform preventive maintenance actions including system back-ups, error log reviews, database size analysis, and integrity checks
- Organize and prepare detailed documentation of system performance, including service request records, and analysis
- Perform desktop hardware and operating system set-up, imaging software loading, and antivirus updates
- Implementation of Server and Workstation patching and STIG remediation
- Creation and modification to Interface Control Documents
- Updates to System Security Plans, Configuration Management Documents, and Contingency Plans
- Perform all duties with minimal direct supervision
