Description:
A Hospitality Attendant will clean, restock, and maintain the cleanliness of guest corridors, elevators, and all assigned areas.
Essential Job Functions
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working (per brand standards).
- Always comply with Mid-Continent Hospitality standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Always maintain a friendly and warm atmosphere.
- Be familiar with the hotel’s standard operating procedures.
- Interact with all guests and employees in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Ensure the correct and timely setup of all breakfast order functions.
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the food area, pre-function space and storage areas including the carpets, walls, walks, windows, and heating/air conditioning units, etc.
- Be familiar with the fire exit and extinguisher location and follow all hotel safety rules.
- Breakdown after the completion of functions and ensure that all equipment and supplies are stored properly.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Prepares and serves the daily complimentary breakfast bar.
- Greets each guest and ensures guests are satisfied.
- Ensures breakfast area is sufficiently stocked at all times.
- Ensures cleanliness of the breakfast and common public area
- Cleans and disinfects bathroom and kitchenette or coffee-preparation areas according to hotel policy.
- Vacuum floors and remove trash.
- Checks complimentary coffee, snacks, and toiletry supplies, restocking according to the provided hotel checklist and policy.
- Notifies the maintenance department of needed maintenance or repairs.
- Takes found items to designated lost and found areas if a guest has checked out.
- Perform related duties as assigned by the supervisor
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Medium work – exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- Ability to stand during entire shift.
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
- Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the issues raised by co-workers and guests.
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
