What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Assembler position at McAlister Design?
Wauseon Machine is looking to add an Electrical Assembler to our Automation team!
Core Responsibilities:
- Build panels and wire machines.
- Plan and direct wire/cable routing and management.
- Assemble equipment in-house, tear down, and reassemble in the field.
- Use problem solving skills to correct issues in collaboration with project managers and engineering.
- Report project status (quality, budget, and timing) to Assembly Lead.
- Forklift and manlift operation (secondary responsibility).
- Facility writing (secondary responsibility).
- Travel for installations (up to 15%).
Qualifications:
- 4 years’ experience building and wiring control panels for machines per blueprint specifications.
- 2 years’ experience in automation industry.
- Ability to read schematics.
- Trade school degree or electrical certification.
- Willing to learn PLC and HMI loading.
- Willing to learn software loading, mastering, and touch up points on robots.
