Position: Program Driver

Hourly Rate: $21.00 - $23.00

Position Overview:
The Program Driver is responsible for the transportation of clients in McAlister’s vehicles. They report directly to the Program Manager and play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and timely transport to meetings, appointments, and other client needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Uphold and promote the mission, philosophy, values, and direction of McAlister Institute.
• Transport clients to meetings, appointments, and other scheduled events in a safe and timely manner.
• Maintain accurate vehicle logs, documenting all necessary details.
• Communicate with the supervisor regarding any accidents, damage, or issues with the vehicle.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Manager.
• Maintain a warm, welcoming, clean, and safe environment within the vehicle, ensuring all equipment is in good order.
• Attend all required meetings and training sessions, maintaining up-to-date certifications to ensure service delivery is ethical, culturally competent, gender-responsive, trauma-informed, and evidence-based.
• Adhere to all personnel requirements and policies, including the code of conduct and those outlined in the employee handbook. This includes compliance with dress code, timely reporting, and certification/training requirements.

Qualifications:

• Clean driving record with a minimum of two years driving experience.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain up-to-date records.
• Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively.
• Must comply with all agency and contract requirements related to trainings, public health, certifications, and reporting.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Ability to pass all pre-employment screenings, including references, education verification, a criminal background check with at least one year clear of probation or parole, a drug test, and a TB test.
