Job Summary:
We're passionate about bringing people together with genuine hospitality and that "little something extra". We strive to provide our guests with the feeling of a warm welcome, friendly conversation or just being there to lend a helping hand. We may be in the food industry, but we're in the people business. We are the host of hundreds of get-togethers every day, and we take that responsibility very seriously. Generally, we allow our team members to choose where they would like to work however, this is all dependent upon the current needs of the store and is at the discretion of management.

What This Position Entails:

• Welcoming and greeting our guests as they enter, thanking them for their visit as they leave – Engaging in genuine friendly conversation as you interact with our guests.
• Learning menu items and having the ability to explain our menu to the guests – Taking orders and ensuring their accuracy with the guests.
• Responsible for the cash control of your assigned cash drawers.
• Delivering orders to guests, ensuring that each order is completed and prepared properly.
• Ensuring that all guest complaints and feedback is taken seriously, and corrected promptly.
• Ensuring that the assigned station is stocked, cleaned, and ready for guest service.
• If working in the back of the house, you'll be responsible for crafting our delicious McAlister's food to the recipes and standards of McAlister's Deli.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year’s experience in the Casual Restaurant industry is required.
• High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
• Familiarity with restaurant management software (POS) is required.
• Servsafe License preferred, or able to obtain a State approved license – must be maintained per State Mandates.
• Strong knowledge of team leadership and maintaining a well-groomed appearance – uniform standards.
• Availability to work within open hours (e.g. evenings, holidays, weekends).
• Display a positive and outwardly friendly attitude towards all guests – Live the McAlister’s Touch.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• You're expected to have the awareness to recognize if you or another team member is about to fall behind and have the ability to render assistance to that station or let other team members know.
• Able to withstand comfortably the physical demands a restaurant environment holds.
