Restaurant Shift Leader
The Restaurant Shift Leader plays a crucial role in the success of McAlister's Corporation by assisting in the daily operations of the restaurant.
In the absence of the General Manager and/or Assistant Manager, the Shift Leader directs the operation of the restaurant while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, service, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation.
This involves supervising team members, handling issues with suppliers and guests directly, and escalating matters to the General Manager/Assistant Manager when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide supervision during assigned shifts.
- Ensure team members and guests have a positive experience and atmosphere.
- Manage FOH and BOH shift responsibilities, including scheduling staff to minimize overtime and achieve daily labor controls and costs as assigned by management.
- Monitor speed of service to ensure a positive guest experience.
- Handle guest comments and complaints.
- Supervise daily shifts to maintain McAlister's standards, product quality, and cleanliness.
- Assist in ongoing training of team members, including new hires and existing staff, to ensure adherence to McAlister's procedures and processes.
- Perform line checks as necessary.
- Enforce uniform policy and standards.
- Ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Open and close the restaurant in the absence of upper management.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management.

Estimated Salary: $35,000 - $45,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
