Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to veterinarians in delivering high-quality care to animals. Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures.
- Perform diagnostic tests such as X-rays and laboratory analyses.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian.
- Monitor animal patients pre- and post-operatively to ensure their well-being.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
- Provide education to pet owners on animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and surgical areas.
- Utilize aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infection.
- Assist with pet grooming and basic training as needed.
- Support animal husbandry practices to promote the health of all animals in care.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and physiology is essential.
- Experience with veterinary critical care is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with X-ray procedures and equipment is a plus.
- Skills in pet grooming and dog training are advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm demeanor.
- Compassionate attitude towards animals with a commitment to their welfare.
- Certification as a Veterinary Technician or equivalent experience is required.
