General Job Summary :
Safely performs daily pick up and delivery of goods and parts to vendors and customers using Company truck.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

- Follows all safety processes and procedures in accordance with the job and Company policy
- Using appropriate material handling equipment, loads and unloads delivery truck
- Prioritizes pick ups and deliveries after referring to assignments on Daily Carrier Log,
- Plans route to insure most economical use of time and equipment.
- Safely operates truck for the delivery, pickup and relocation of products and materials
- Communicates with department periodically throughout the day to ensure prompt and efficient deliveries.
- Maintains proper customer and supplier relations
- Schedules and assures proper preventive maintenance and repairs of truck.
- Trains back-up drivers
- Performs additional duties as directed by the Supervisor, and assists in the Shipping Department, as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities :

Requirements : Education
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Experience
1-2 years related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other Requirements :
One year truck driving experience (Manual and Automatic); CDL Class B license and clean driving record; Ability to operate tow motor, fork lift; fork lift certification.
Computer Skills :
To perform this job successfully, having basic knowledge of the computer is preferred.
Language Skills :
Basic Skills : Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other Associates of the organization.
Mathematical Skills :
Basic Skills : Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other Associates of the organization.
Reasoning Ability :
Basic Skills : Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Work with another associate to lift anything greater than 50lbs.
