McBride Homes has an exciting opportunity for a Data Analyst/Project Coordinator to join our Purchasing Department. This position will report to the Director of Purchasing and focus on completing tasks and projects that contribute to the success of the Purchasing Department's strategic objectives. McBride is Missouri's largest home builder and is an industry leader in residential new home construction. With 920 home closings in 2023 and a milestone of 1,008 home closings in 2024, McBride ranks as the 37th largest privately owned builder and the 66th largest builder in the country. This is an in-office position located in our state-of-the-art facility in Chesterfield Valley.

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000/yr. depending on experience and an annual, discretionary bonus program
Responsibilities include:
- Minimizing or reversing profit margin erosion.
- Identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Streamlining processes to improve overall efficiency in the field.
- Maintaining and diversifying vendor partnerships.
- Running queries and transforming datasets into understandable resources.
- Report building and occasional data visualization to make sense of complex information.
- Creating and maintaining purchasing reports, track performance metrics, and provide actionable insights to support decision-making.
- Analyzing historical data to identify trends in material and labor costs.
Requirements include:
- 2 years of experience in an office environment; seeking growth and the potential to provide significant contributions to company objectives with high visibility by the executive leadership team.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, absolute references, advanced formulas).
- Readiness to learn basic SQL query language, and the ability to review and interpret data to find trends and draw logical conclusions.
- Must be meticulously detail and quality oriented with the ability to ensure data accuracy and consistency with commitment to deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to respond professionally and effectively and follow-up with our trade partners via phone and email.
- Strong organizational skills to track the progression of tasks, blockers, milestones, statuses, timelines, and key results in a project.
