This is a remote position.
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Absence Management Lead to drive the endtoend implementation of the Oracle Absence Management module within Oracle Cloud HCM. This role requires deep expertise in configuring and optimizing absence policies vacation accruals and leave management with a special focus on FMLA compliance and diverse accrual structures for fulltime parttime and contract employees . The ideal candidate will collaborate with crossfunctional teams including HR Payroll and IT to ensure seamless integration and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the endtoend implementation of Oracle Absence Management including requirements gathering design configuration testing deployment and postgolive support.
- Design and configure absence plans accrual policies and entitlements for various employee types (e.g. fulltime parttime contract workers) ensuring alignment with company policies and labor laws.
- Implement and optimize FMLA leave tracking ensuring accurate calculation of eligibility leave durations and compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Develop and maintain absence management rules including carryover policies proration logic and leave balances .
- Collaborate with Payroll and HRIS teams to ensure seamless integration of absence data with payroll processing and reporting.
- Conduct system testing UAT and validation of leave accruals calculations and timeoff requests before deployment.
- Provide functional expertise and troubleshooting support for absence management issues identifying and resolving system gaps.
- Work closely with stakeholders to document business requirements configure workflows and enhance reporting capabilities.
- Stay updated on Oracle Cloud HCM enhancements best practices and regulatory changes affecting absence management.
- Lead training and knowledge transfer sessions for HR and business teams to optimize system usage and compliance.

Required Qualifications 5 years of experience in Oracle Cloud HCM, specializing in Oracle Absence Management. Proven experience leading at least two full-cycle implementations of the Absence Management module. Strong understanding of FMLA compliance, vacation accruals, and leave policies across different employee types. Expertise in configuring absence plans, accrual formulas, eligibility rules, and absence types within Oracle Cloud. Experience with fast formulas for absence management, time-off calculations, and proration logic. Knowledge of payroll integration and the impact of absence transactions on payroll processing. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot system and configuration issues. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate business needs into system configurations. Preferred Qualifications Oracle Cloud HCM certification in Absence Management. Experience in industries with complex leave policies (e.g., healthcare, government, retail). Knowledge of PeopleSoft Absence Management as a transition to Oracle Cloud.
