Bakery Manager

Due to our continued growth, McCaffrey’s is currently seeking a Bakery Department Manager. The preferred candidate will have previous experience in a supermarket bakery and have the flexibility to work varied shifts.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Follow all food safety standards per company policy and applicable regulations
- Provide outstanding customer service to our guests
- Produce all bakery goods of the highest quality
- Keep product looking fresh and presentable, keeping the shelves and stand full, keeping the area in a neat, clean, and appealing manner
- Take special orders and fill customer orders
- Work up and mix up products from recipes or prepared mixes
- Set ovens, bake product and monitor the baking process
- Operate and maintain all department equipment
- Determine quantities of ingredients needed to order
- Unload and verify deliveries
- Perform all functions of bakery clerk when necessary
- Constantly monitor temperatures in freezer and cooler areas
- Follow all company policies
- Perform other duties as directed
Physical Demands:
- Stand on feet, bend, stoop or walk for the majority of the time on duty
- Work in freezer and/or cooler for short periods of time
- Lift cases/containers of product up to 40 pounds.
