Job Summary
Audit Coordinator interfaces with customers and corporate contacts, supports third party audits, audits Quality systems and documentation, and helps to implement continuous improvement processes and programs.
Job Functions
Essential Functions:
- Assist all plant departments with the coordination and preparation of audit information and communicate areas of potential non-compliance
- Create, maintain, and track all departments’ corrective action registers and software. Facilitate follow-up on outstanding non conformances
- Conducts formal and informal audits and investigations on a routine basis of all shifts to insure that the proper testing and measuring methods and procedures are being followed. Feedback, corrective action recommendations and discrepancies notes and reported to Quality Supervisor.
- Review new and existing internal and corporate quality policies and procedures. Update internal plant documents as necessary.
- Review all third party, customer, and internal audit standards to insure compliance.
- Conduct and insure validation of controls per programs for HACCP and FSMA.
- Facilitate root cause analysis for non-conforming quality incidents. Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Recommends measures to improve QC testing methods, procedures, work schedule, lab environment, SOP’s, specifications, HACCP, production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product in regards to increased efficiencies, safety, quality and lower costs.
- Analyze and resolves work problems, or assists in solving work problems.
- Performs organizing, sampling, labeling/identifying, shipping, and any other task associated with the evaluation, chemical, or physical analysis, nutritional analysis, microbiological testing, and any other evaluation of products upon request.
- Insures that laboratory equipment is functioning properly. Performs general and preventative maintenance of laboratory equipment following manufacturer instructions. Provides training to persons as to the proper operation and care of laboratory equipment. Notifies QC supervisor of malfunctioning equipment as necessary.
- Insures that all calibration of measuring equipment is adequately performed by instructed persons on a routine basis following SOP.
- Performs duties in compliance with company policies regarding quality standards and food safety.
- Strictly adheres to all company and plant policies concerning safety, GMP’s, rules and procedures.

- Mental
- College degree in food science or related field preferable. Or, one year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Obtain and maintain necessary training. qualifications, and certificates to support all department
- Ability to read, interpret and analyze general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Familiarity with software systems such as Infinity QS, Intelex, Access Excel, Word, and WMS.
