What are the responsibilities and job description for the I&R Technician position at McCall Thomas Engineering?
McCall-Thomas Engineering Company, Inc. is seeking a full-time I&R Technician.
This hire will be responsible for the installation and repair of equipment on customer premises.
The McCall-Thomas I&R Technician job responsibilities include:
· Developing a timetable in collaboration with our client's customers to facilitate access to their residences for the replacement or upgrade of the current telephone system
· Maintaining a friendly and approachable attitude when engaging with both the customer and the client
· Adjusting working hours to meet the requirements of the customer
· Collaborating with the client to ensure the completion of daily documentation of completed tasks and cancellations
· Maintain a record of all tools supplied by both McT and the client
· Confirming that the customer has access to the service prior to departing once new fiber has been installed
· Carrying out additional responsibilities as designated by the client or McCall-Thomas
What you will need (required):
· High School Diploma or GED
· Eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship
· Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
· Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, dig and reach
· Ability to follow instructions and communicate clearly
· Fundamental understanding of the operation of standard hand tools and equipment
· Capability to ascend a ladder and access a crawl space
· Ability to perform physical labor under all types of weather conditions
