McCall-Thomas Engineering Company, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Intern for onsite work in our Orangeburg, SC office.

McCall-Thomas Engineering is a multi-faceted engineering firm housing multiple divisions including the Communications Engineering Division, the Electrical Engineering Division, the Electric Utility Service Division, the Electric Field Operations & UAS, as well as the McT Learning Center and Print Services.
As a McCall-Thomas Engineering Intern, this team member will be joining a team of dedicated individuals committed to our mission of providing quality solutions and services to each of our clients. This employee will support the Engineering and Design teams administratively and will learn engineering skills to assist with projects. The primary responsibilities for this role include:
- Using AutoCAD and MS Office programs such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other applicable software programs.
- Applying McCall-Thomas drafting standards to drawings
- Assisting with material take-offs
- Providing assistance to engineers, designers and field personnel by carrying out routine tasks in different areas of design, planning, reporting, and research.
- Assisting with maintaining project data.
- Communicating professionally and effectively with clients and co-workers.
- Understanding and carrying out tasks given by Management
What you will need:
- A four-year civil or electrical engineering degree in progress from an ABET-accredited engineering program
- Degree work/enrollment must be current
- Eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship
- Valid driver’s license
- Professionalism in communicating with clients and co-workers
- Ability to grasp new concepts quickly
- Strong computer and software skills
- Dependability
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
