Local manufacturer is looking for an experienced electronic assembler/production technician. This position is 1st shift, 7am-3:30pm. Salary is $17 per hour. Must have at least 1 year of manufacturing or assembly experience.
Summary:
Build and test electronic assemblies. Building of assemblies can include printed circuit board (PCB) component soldering, PCB installation in enclosures, assembly potting, cable assemblies, wire harnesses, and similar assemblies based on existing documentation such as drawings, bill of material, work instructions, and procedures. Testing can include basic electrical tests, functional tests, and similar tests based on existing documentation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Soldering of components to PCBs and similar soldering operations following documentation
- Basic mechanical and electrical assembly of final products or subassemblies following documentation
- Cable and wire harness assembly following documentation
- Basic electrical and functional testing (visual, mechanical, other as needed) using measurement equipment following documentation
- Use of optical systems for responsibilities listed above
- Able to work with minimal instruction or supervision and with a team
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area
- Ensure that product is defect free before it is moved to next operation
Must have your own transportation.
