McCallum Rock Drilling (MRD) is a rock drilling and blasting contractor based out of Chehalis, WA, that has been in business since 1988. MRD operates in commercial quarries, surface mines, timberlands and construction sites throughout the Western US.
McCallum Rock Drilling is seeking a full-time IT Support Specialist in Chehalis, WA. The ideal candidate will maintain, upgrade and provide support for client’s software, hardware, and networks. The individual should be able to easily communicate technical concerns and solutions to many different people with varying degrees of technical knowledge as well as work with individuals in all departments to help solve their technical issues. The IT Support Specialist needs to be able to diagnose and resolve problems in a timely manner. He or she will also be responsible for maintaining our systems infrastructure, managing all hardware and software, and testing all computer equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Organize and manage all hardware devices (desktops, laptops, phones, drones, printers)
- Ability to provide technical support to internal clients in person, over the phone, or online
- Troubleshooting hardware or software issues
- Create and manage user accounts
- Regularly upgrade systems as needed
- Assist in integrating new software applications and technologies as needed
- Ability to train new users
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Valid drivers license
- Clean driving record (no more than 3 speeding tickets within the last 5 years)
- At least 1 year experience or CompTIA A
- Knowledge of computer operating systems, hardware, and software
- Knowledge of system securities concerns
- Must be resourceful; must be able to respond and diagnose issues quickly
- Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
- Attention to detail
- Ability to travel to other office locations
