About This Role
We are seeking a skilled Lube Technician to join our team at Bill McCandless Ford. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills and be able to perform a variety of maintenance tasks to keep our customers' vehicles in top condition.
Responsibilities
- Lubrication and Maintenance
- Apply lubricants to vehicle engines to prevent premature wear and ensure optimal performance
- Lubricate wheel bearings to prevent excessive tire wear
- Perform engine cleanings to prevent rust formation
- Replace cabin, fuel, air, and oil filters as required
- Perform tire rotations to ensure even tire wear
- Test tire pressure and add air as needed
- Inspect vehicles for oil leaks and make recommendations for additional servicing
- Notify the Service Advisor when maintenance or servicing cannot be completed within scheduled timeframes
- Customer Service
- Communicate effectively with customers to understand their vehicle needs and preferences
- Demonstrate excellent time management skills to meet customer expectations
- Teamwork and Safety
- Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve common goals
- Follow all safety procedures and practices to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
- Valid Pennsylvania Safety Inspection License
- Emissions Inspection License (a plus but not required)
- Ability to work as a team player
- Detail-oriented with excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license and High School Diploma or equivalent
