What are the responsibilities and job description for the Immigration Paralegal position at McCandlish Holton?
The Immigration Practice Group at McCandlish Holton provides visa services and "day-to-day" immigration advice to businesses, colleges and universities, school systems, professors and researchers, and individuals across the country and around the world. We advise U.S. and foreign clients on all aspects of obtaining U.S. work visas as well as the hiring and transfer of international personnel.
Our Paralegals and Attorneys work in a team environment that is fast-paced, high-pressured and deadline intensive.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate, through previous experience, the ability to quickly respond to tight, often changing deadlines; they will be detail oriented, energetic, accurate and able to handle a high volume of work in this busy, fast-paced department.
College degree is preferred with at least one year of work experience.
This position is not remote and is located at our Richmond, VA office.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Utilize existing files and a variety of other research resources to develop information for pending cases.
- Manage multiple cases from file opening to submission.
- Prolonged sitting, walking and reaching.
