HOURLY LAW CLERK, PATENT (Newark, NJ)
McCarter & English, LLP is currently looking for second or third year law students who have an interest in working part-time in our Newark, NJ office and who would like to pursue a career in patent law. The ideal candidate would have an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science, a desire to take the U.S. Patent Bar examination, and an interest in learning patent prosecution (with an eventual goal of becoming a registered patent attorney and practicing patent law). Strong writing skills and an interest in learning how to protect technology via patents and other forms of intellectual property are preferred.
