Position Summary
Sustainability program manager will be an agent of change within McCarthy to develop, implement, and educate our regions on sustainability practices that reduce our impact and return positive ROI for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Change Management
- Lead Change Management Initiatives: Develop and implement strategies to facilitate the adoption of sustainability practices across the organization as directed by national sustainability strategy.
- Communication and Advocacy: Effectively communicate the business benefits and importance of sustainability programs to various audiences, bolstering our Core Values.
- Demonstrate Sustainability ROI: Implement sustainability programs and management national standardization efforts focused on waste, energy, and supply chains that yield positive ROI for our regions.
- Training and Development: Collaborate on training programs to educate employees on sustainability practices at the department and project level.
Program Implementation
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to promote sustainability goals and initiatives, promoting the long-term sustainability of MHI.
- Performance Metrics and Reporting: Track and report on the progress of sustainability initiatives, using data to drive continuous improvement.
- Social Impact: Lead consolidation effort of social impact program focused on sustainability engagement and governance around charitable giving, including in-kind services.
Regional Sustainability Liaison
- Collaboration and Networking: Work closely with cross-functional teams volunteer committees to share best practices and drive collective impact.
- Business Development/Marketing: Collaborate with regional business development and marketing teams to track and address proposal inquiries regarding sustainability data and initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5 years related experience
- Construction experience preferred
- Corporate sustainability experience preferred
- GRI, CDP certified training a plus
- LEED certification a plus
